I thought I was done with school in 1970 when I graduated high school. I then had children, helped them thru school and now am back to college for the second time....only, this time I will finish my degree. But, did I remember how hard it is to remember? Nope! It's a challenge, but I'm doing it!

I feel a new freedom coming to me today...I finally have internet and television after 2 weeks of boredom, lol!!! Also, classes are coming to an end for the semester, only one more day and no classes till Fall. Kinda feel happy and proud of myself tonight! Hope everyone has a great evening!

Summer weather is scorching hot in the desert...I surely look forward to the winter. I am enjoying my time off of classes at least. This time gives me an opportunity to do some sorting of the boxes in storage and maybe in the next week even start the sewing I have long wanted to finish. I'm also enjoying watching some television I have missed watching. Life is so nice right now, mostly relaxing...to have someone of the opposite gender to share my relaxing time with would be nice too...well that may come later. For now I'll just do my thing and enjoy every moment. Blessings to all!

First I have to say, "happy birthday Mom". She would have been 83 today. I miss her so very much. Well, it's another day in California...hot as heck and boring...I've done all the housework needed and now relaxing at the computer. I registered for Fall classes yesterday. Seems I only have 6 more classes and I've earned the big prize...my Associates Degree! I'm still out here making friends and chatting as I can...but when classes start I'll be so busy learning new stuff I'll have to only write on the weekends. Tomorrow will be a busy day...laundry! Lol!

Well, another Tuesday has come and gone...it was just a day to take it easy and relax...last weekend took a lot out of me. I sat in front of the tv on my computer, drinking coffee, now some iced tea...and caught up on some letters desperately needing to be answered. Now it's time to do more of that relaxing and watch more tv...giggles! Tomorrow will be the start of my week...work, work, work....have a great evening everyone!


07/15/09--10:51: Back to the Grindstone (chan 2765118)

I'm finishing my coffee, breakfast done, now it's time to hit the grindstone...today is full of things needing my attention. I'll start with the easy stuff and clean the house. Next, the car needs to be cleaned out and a good washing. Finally I'll pick up Jenny from work and drive to Tehachapi and get Christopher's mail and FED EX it to him with the tags for his motorcycle...when the kids work out of state and live here there is lots for mom to do to help them. My Beautiful Cat knows all about that! lol!  Then, the hour drive back home and make hot dogs for dinner! I don't feel like a big dinner! Hot dogs and a salad topped with fresh fruit will be just the right finish to my day...well, here I go!

Thank goodness it's over...after two months of worry and letters, ads and phone calls we have finally placed my daughter's dog into a rescue. They are a no kill rescue and the man who runs it is a wonderful person. 


09/30/09--21:00: Apartment life... (chan 2765118)

You just have to love apartment life! Living on the bottom floor can be quite trying...herds of elephants above your head all night long and then when you least expect it the sky (your ceiling) bursts forth water...you ask yourself (and pray it's their bathtub), but it could be their toilet, yucky!!! Maintenance shows up an hour after you call and gives you the "yucky" news...what next, the ceiling has legs hanging from it? OMG I hope there are pants covering those legs!!!
